Additional Conditions
1. There shall be no adult entertainment or services, activities, other entertainment or matters ancillary to the use of the premises that may give rise to concern in respect of children. 2. The DPS will be a member of the local Pub Watch (as long as it exists). 3. Anyone who appears to be under the age of 21 shall require appropriate proof of age before being served alcohol. 4. The pub will actively enforce a zero tolerance policy on illegal drugs. 5. Drinks promotions will not be of a nature that promotes irresponsible drinking. 6. Signs near the exits of the premises must clearly communicate that members and guests must respect the needs of local residents, and leave the premises quietly. 7. At least one member of staff must be designated to take lead responsibility for child protection issues. This role would involve proactive enforcement of the operating schedule in relation to children and would include training other staff about safeguarding the welfare of children. The designated member of staff would also be expected to know what to do and who to contact if safeguarding concerns arise. 8. Children under the age of 16 must be off the premises by 9pm, unless attending a private function. 9. When dancing is to take place on the premises in an area not previously approved fir dancing by the Authority, at least 14 days notice must be given to Environment and Regulatory Services (Health Protection Service) and the Licensing Authority, identifying the area to be used which should be suitable and adequate in size as the designated dance floor for the intended use, and dancing must not take place in that area unless approved by the authority. 10. A permanent fixed residual current device (RCD) must protect the electrical power supply serving all amplified music equipment used for the purpose of live music. 11. No floor surfaces/coverings will be laid to the premises as part of the refit, without prior agreement of the Health Protection Service so as to ensure that it complies with Sheffield City Codes of Practice and guidance notes for the operation of licensed premises under the Licensing Act 2003. Suitable slip resistance flooring must be incorporated into the design. For bars/associated wet areas and thoroughfares within the premises, compliance with DIN measurement standard R11 minimum or Pendulum test (in accordance with the 'UK' Slip Resistance Group' document, issue 2, June 2000) rating of 35 or above (wet test) is required. 12. Prior to the premises operating under its varied Premises Licence, a valid electrical certificate will be available for inspection. 13. The variation shall not become effective until the Health Protection Service have inspected the premises with regard to the floor surfaces, the electrical certificate, and any other matter raised during the consultation period to ensure that these items have been totally addressed in respect of Service requirements. 14. It is understood that the above three conditions will be removed from the licence without further application for variation upon the Health Protection Service notifying the Licensing Department that the premises have been inspected and approved.
