Additional Conditions

• 1. A Colour CCTV system to the specification of South Yorkshire Police will be fitted, maintained and in use at all times whilst the premises are open. The CCTV images will be stored for 31 days. Police and authorised officers of the Council will be given access to images for purposes in connection with the prevention and detection of crime and disorder. Members of the management team will be trained in the use of the system. A copy of the specification dated January 2010 will be available at all times for inspection of the police and authorised officers. 2. Any person exercising a security activity (as defined by paragraph 2 (1) (a) of schedule 2 of the Private Security Industry Act 2001) shall be licensed by the Security Industry Authority. Such a person will be employed at the premises at the discretion of the designated premises supervisor/holder of the premises licence. Any person defined in this condition will clearly display their name badge at all times whilst on duty. 3. The Designated Premises Supervisor shall be a member of Pub Watch, or its replacement (as long as it exists). 4. Fire action notices to be posted, and emergency escape routes to be signposted and illuminated as appropriate. The fire alarm system should be regularly checked. 5. A satisfactory electrical certificate shall be provided. 6. A permanently fixed residual current device (RCD) must protect the electrical supply serving amplified music equipment for live music and DJ. 7. New floor surfaces within the licensed area shall be of a suitable non-slip finish. 8. When dancing is to take place on the premises in an area not previously approved for dancing by the Authority, at least 14 days notice must be given to Environment and Regulatory Services (Health Protection Service) and the Licensing Authority, identifying the area to be used, which should be suitable and adequate in size as the designated dance floor for the intended use, and dancing must not take place in that area unless approved by the authority. 9. All doors and windows shall be closed, save for access and egress, when regulated entertainment is present in the premises. 10. The DPS or a designated member or staff must take a pro active approach to noise control, checking outside the premises to ensure that noise is kept to a reasonable level from patrons using the external area and manage noise levels internally so as not to cause a nuisance to the nearest noise sensitive property. 11. The Premises Licence Holder shall prominently display A4 notices on all exits reminding patrons to leave the premises in a quiet and orderly fashion to respect the local neighbours’ needs. 12. Before regulated entertainment takes place, a noise limiter will be installed at the premises and will be set at an appropriate level agreed by the Environmental Protection Service. 13. The outside seating area at the front of the premises will be closed at 23:00 hours. 14. A physical barrier will be erected to ensure that customers are not able to use the outside front garden area after 23:00 hours. 15. Notices will be displayed stating that after 23:00 hours, smoking is only permitted in the rear garden. 16. A designated member of staff is to patrol and control any noise nuisance emanating from patrons outside the building and any people, in close proximity, wishing to enter the premises. 17. The emptying of waste bottle bins shall not be carried out between the hours of 23:00 and 07:00 hours Monday to Saturday and 23:00 to 09:00 hours Sundays and Public Holidays. 18. The premises will operate a zero tolerance drugs policy. 19. An incident book and refusals register will be kept at the premises. 20. Staff will be trained in legislation relevant to their job role; staff training records will be kept to reflect this. 21. All glasses will be made of toughened glass. 22. There shall be no adult entertainment or services, activities, other entertainment or matters ancillary to the use of the premises that may give rise to concern in respect of children. 23. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to remain at the premises or external area after 20:00 hours. 24. Children will only be permitted when accompanied by an adult. 25. The premises will operate a challenge 21 policy whereby those individuals who are attempting to purchase alcohol and appear to be under the age of 21 will be asked for identification. The only type if identification that will be accepted is a passport, photo driving licence or any other PASS accredited identification. Staff will be trained in this policy and records will be kept.
