Additional Conditions
1. Children under 16 years of age are only allowed in the bar areas until 9pm and if accompanied by an adult. For the avoidance of doubt this condition shall not apply to the upper bar area (known as Stars and Mayfair) where those aged under 16 years of age are attending a private function. 2. A recognised proof of age scheme will be in operation. 3. The designated premises supervisor or some such other person will be assigned to act as lead safeguarder for children's issues at the premises. 4. A colour CCTV system to the specification of South Yorkshire Police will be fitted, maintained and in use at all times the premises are open. CCTV images will be stored for 28 days. Police will be given access to, and copies of images for purposes in connection with the prevention and detection of crime and disorder. 5. No customers apparently carrying open bottles upon entry shall be admitted to the premises at any times the premises are open to the public. 6. Alcoholic and other drinks may not be removed from the premises in open containers save for consumption in any external area provided for that purpose. 7. The maximum occupancy of the building will be restricted to 700 persons. 8. Where appropriate, prominent, clear and legible notices shall be displayed at all exits requesting the members respect the needs of local residents and to leave the premises and area quietly. 9. Noise or vibration shall not emanate from the premises so as to cause a nuisance to nearby properties. 10. No films or videos of any description will be viewed by persons under the age of any applicable BBFC/Local Authority certification. Any embedded permissions and restrictions attached to the justices on/off licence including those specified at Appendix 1. Specific conditions converted from the Public Entertainment Licence 1) The number of members of the public who may be present on the premises at any one time must not exceed:- a) Stars Party Suite 420 b) Mayfair Party Suite 280 The capacities for each area must be individually managed to ensure that the above capacities are maintained at all times.
Annex 3 - Conditions attached after Summary Review - 4th January 2012 1.All licensable activities under the Premises Licence to cease at 01:00am. The premises will not be open to the public later than 01:30am. 2. a)The applicant at the premises will operate as a function suite, open for private pre arranged and pre booked functions. b) Events will only be held at the licensed premises following a booking procedure, whereby the Premises Licence Holder / DPS will ensure that if a function is to be booked then full details of the name, address and telephone number of the person to hold the event will be obtained and made available to the Police upon request. c) Where external DJs are to be utilised in addition to complying with the condition above, full details of the proposed DJs will be taken, including name, address and telephone number and will be made available to the Police 21 days prior to the event. In the event the Police raise reasonable concerns about any proposed event in this condition, the event will not be run. d) No events to be held at the premises that are promoted as DJ Nights. e) No tickets are to be sold for events at the premises, unless with the prior approval of the Licensing Authority, such approval not to be unreasonably withheld. f) No events at the premises will be advertised, unless with the prior approval of the Licensing Authority, such approval not to be unreasonably withheld. g) Where 18th Birthday Parties are to be held, tickets will be issued to attendees. If there is no ticket, there will be no entry. Proof of Age will be requested for all attendees at an event of this nature. Upon access to such an event, fluorescent wrist bands will be provided for those proving their age to be over 18 years. On events of this nature alcohol will only be supplied to those with a valid fluorescent wrist band, as detailed in this condition and only one drink per person at a time. During events of this nature there will be periodic checks of the premises by walking the floor to check compliance with this condition. h) The DPS and Management will undertake appropriate safeguarding children training from the Childrens Safeguarding Board. i) There shall be adequate controls in place, including staff training to safeguard against the sale of alcohol to persons under 18 years. j) The Premises Supervisor or appointed staff member shall ensure that when children are admitted to the premises, their presence is not inconsistent with the style of operation of the premises at that time and the licensable activities that are being carried out. k) CCTV shall be installed to cover the inside of the Stars & Mayfair Suite to the satisfaction of South Yorkshire Police and recordings kept for 28 days. l) The use of door supervisors will be risk assessed on an event by event basis and a written record of the risk assessment be kept at site for 6 months and made available to the Police or an Officer of the Licensing Authority upon request.
