Additional Conditions
1. Licensable activities shall be restricted to the ground floor of the premises. 2. The use of doorstaff will be risk assessed on an ongoing basis by the licence holder or premises supervisor. Where engaged, door staff shall be licensed by the SIA. 3. Staff will receive training on matters concerning underage sales and operating procedures. 4. The premises will operate a proof of age scheme and will require photographic identification from any person who appears to be under the age of 18 years. 5. To comply with the reasonable requests of the fire officer. 6. The premises will have adequate safety and fire fighting equipment and such equipment will be maintained in good operational order. 7. Staff will be trained on matters of safety, evacuation and use of emergency equipment as required. 8. Spillages and breakages will be removed as soon as possible to reduce the risk to patrons and staff. 9. Toughened glasses will be used in the premises where appropriate. 10. Fire exits & means of escape shall be kept clear and in good operational condition. 11. Where appropriate, prominent, clear and legible notices shall be displayed at all exits requesting the public respect the needs of local residents and to leave the premises and area quietly. 12. Patrons will be encouraged by staff to leave quietly and respect the interests of the occupiers of any nearby noise sensitive properties. Where appropriate the licensee or suitable staff member will monitor patrons leaving at closing time. 13. Noise or vibration shall not emanate from the premises so as to cause a nuisance to nearby properties. 14. Contact numbers for a local taxi firm(s) shall be kept at the premises and made available to patrons requiring a taxi. 15.There shall be adequate controls in place including staff training to safeguard against the sale of alcohol to persons under 18 years. 16. The premises supervisor or appointed staff member shall ensure that when children are admitted to the premises their presence is not inconsistent with the style of operation of the premises at the time and the licensable activities that are being carried out. 17. Policies in relation to children shall be adequately communicated to patrons by staff or through appropriate signage.
Condition imposed at Licensing Committee Hearing - 28th November 2013 1) A food hoist shall be fitted and operated to the satisfaction of Sheffield Health & Safety Department. The hoist shall be installed and utilised at the premises by 1st May 2014. The transportation of hot food and drinks between the ground and first floor will be via the use of the food hoist once installed (when the premises are open to members of the public). 2) Prior to the installation of the food hoist, the premises will draft and implement a safe system of work for the transportation of items between the ground and first floors. Such system shall be available for inspection by Sheffield Health & Safety Officers and subject to their approval. 3) Use of the first floor terrace shall cease to be used after 21:00 hours on all days of the week. 4) Use of the ground floor area at the front of the premises shall cease to be used for customers to drink and eat after 21:00 hours on all days of the week. 5) The Challenge 21 Scheme shall be operated. 6) The Collection and disposable of bottles and/or glasses to the outside bin will not take place between 21:00 08:00 hours
