Additional Conditions

Any embedded permissions and restrictions attached to the justices on/off licence including those specified at Appendix 1. 1. There shall be no adult entertainment or services, activities, other entertainment or matters ancillary to the use of the premises that may give rise to concern in respect of children. 2. The DPS will be a member of the local 'Pub Watch' (as long as it exists). 3. Recorded music indoors will be reduced to background levels at 23:45 hours everyday except on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. 4. Not less than TEN working days written notice will be provided to Police, if they require it, when "Events Days" are planned. 5. All windows will remain closed after 22:30 hours. 6. Notices will be placed near the exits of the premises requesting customers to leave quietly. 7. A colour CCTV system to the specification of South Yorkshire Police will be fitted, maintained and in use at all times whilst the premises are open. The CCTV images will be stored for 31 days and police and authorised officers of the council will be given access to images for purposes in connection with the prevention and detection of crime and disorder. CCTV footage shall be downloadad and provided to South Yorkshire Police on request. Members of the management team will be trained in the use of the system. A copy of the specification dated January 2010 will be available at all times for inspection by the police and authorised officers. 8. For the first three months after the premises reopen, SIA door staff will be employed at the premises on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 9pm until 1am 9. The front entrance to the property on Barnsley Road to have prominent and clear notices maintained at each exit stating "no drinks beyond this point". 10. Staff shall check external smoking areas on a regular basis in order to monitor customers behaviour. Staff shall be trained with regards to dealing with unruly customers. Persistent offenders shall be barred from the premises and details recorded in the incident register. 11. Notices to be displayed in the external drinking area and smoking areas to the effect that "no drinks are permitted outside the garden area". 12. Notices will also be displayed in these areas to advise customers of the Company's policy on drugs and that the premises are covered by CCTV. 13. Staff shall monitor toilets on a regular basis. Anti drug signage will be displayed in the toilets. 14. The DPS/Management shall notify the local police team of the detail of any private functions planned to take place within the premises where alcohol is served, paid for or otherwise. 15. The DPS is to sign up to the Violent Crime Protocol. 16. Children under 18yrs not permitted on the premises. 17. The premise management must carry out a risk assessment of all pre-booked functions including the possible requirement for the use of polycarbonate glasses and the requirement for (additional) SIA registered doorstaff and keep a written record of all such assessments. 18. The premises shall have a written age verification policy. This policy shall: Document all reasonable steps to be taken to prevent sales of alcohol to children under the age of 18 years. Specify a Challenge 25 proof of age requirement before sale of alcohol is made. Document all reasonable steps to be taken to prevent adults from purchasing for or on behalf of children under 18 years. 19. A prominent notice shall be displayed at each point of entry to the premises advising customers that the premises operates the Challenge 25 proof of age scheme. 20. A Challenge 25 scheme that ensures any person attempting to purchase alcohol who is, or appears to be under the age of 25 shall provide documented proof that he/she is over 18 years of age shall be implemented at the premises. Proof of age identity documents shall only comprise a passport, a photo card driving licence, or a Proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS) proof of age identity card. 22. All reasonable steps shall be taken to verify that any identification documents produced by persons attempting to gain entry to the premises, or attempting to purchase alcohol are genuine and relate to the person producing them. 23. All staff involved in the sale of alcohol shall be trained in the age check Challenge 25 policy and the law and how to deal with under age requests. A record of their training, including the dates that each member of staff is trained, shall be available for inspection on request by an authorised officer from the Council or Police. 24. All incidences of the following shall be recorded in the incident book within 24 hours and retained for a minimum of 12 months. Refusal of sale of alcohol to any person who is under 18 years of age, or who appears to be under 25 years of age and fails to produce a proof of age identity.
