Additional Conditions

• 1. A Colour CCTV system to the specification of South Yorkshire Police will be fitted, maintained and in use at all times when the premises are open. CCTV images will be stored for 31 days. Police will be given access to the copies of images for purposes in connection with the prevention and detection of crime and disorder. 2. A copy of the South Yorkshire Police Violent Incident Protocol is to be displayed within the premises, in sight of staff. This protocol should also form part of staff training and training records to reflect such input. 3. The DPS shall be an active member of Sheffield Licence Watch, During a rolling 12 month period the DPS will attend at least four local Pub Watch meetings whilst such a scheme is in existence. 4. No customers apparently carrying open bottles upon entry shall be admitted to the premises at any times the premises are open to the public. 5. Alcoholic and other drinks may not be removed from the premises in open containers save for consumption in any external area provided for that purpose. 6. The holder of the premises licence shall nominate a member of staff to remove and dispose of any litter outside the premises originating from their business. 7. There shall be a zero tolerance policy in relation to drugs at the premises and there shall be regular checks by the management to prevent the use of drugs by patrons. Drugs seized shall be stored securely and handed to the Police, records will be kept of seizures and challenges and made for inspection of the authorities. 8. A minimum of 2 door supervisors, all individually authorised to carry out that activity by a licence granted under the Security Industry Authority Act 2001, or entitled to carry that activity by virtue of Section 4 of the Act shall be employed on the premises on a risk assessed basis by the management of the premises as well as at any other pre-planned private function or public event involving 40 or more persons. Management will notify the local Safer Neighbourhood Area Police at least 7 days prior to anticipated occurrences when door supervisors will be required. 9. A satisfactory electrical certificate shall be provided. 10. New floor surfaces in public areas shall have a suitable non-slip finish. 11. The transportation of hot food shall not be on any internal staircase. 12. The premises licence shall not become effective until the Health Protection Service has inspected the premises with regard to the electrical certificate, floor surfaces, transportation of hot food and any other matter raised during the consultation period to ensure that these items have been appropriately addressed in respect of service requirements. 13. Amplified sound shall only be played within the building in such a way that noise breakout to the street does not exceed:- (i) Background noise levels by more than 3 dBA when measured as a 15 minute LAeq (ii) Any octave band centre frequency by more than 3 dB when measured as a 15 minute Leq 14. Clear and legible notices shall be displayed at all exits requesting the public respect the needs of local residents and to leave the premises and area quietly. 15. Signs shall be placed outside the venue and in any ‘smoking’ area, reminding patrons that they are close to residential accommodation and should be quiet whilst using the facilities. 16. All doors and windows shall be closed, except for access and egress, when regulated entertainment is present in the premises. 17. The DPS or designated member of staff must take a pro active approach to noise control, checking outside the premises to ensure that noise is kept to a reasonable level from patrons using external areas and manage noise levels internally to prevent causing a nuisance to the nearest noise sensitive property. 18. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult and are prohibited at the premises after 19:00 hours. 19. The Challenge 21 proof of age scheme must be operated. This must include the maintenance of a refusals register. Staff must be trained to operate the scheme and staff training records must be maintained and made available to the authorities upon request.
