Additional Conditions
Conditions agreed with South Yorkshire Police 1. Whenever a designated premises supervisor is not at the premises, another individual must be nominated as being the responsible person nominated by the designated premises supervisor to manage the premises and they must have the contact details of the designated premises supervisor. 2. A tamper proof CCTV system shall be installed, maintained and operated at the premises in liaison with and to the satisfaction of South Yorkshire Police, and shall be used to record during all hours that the premises are open to the public. 3. The images recorded by the CCTV system shall be retained in unedited form for a period of not less than 31 days. 4. External lighting is recognised as a significant crime prevention tool and assists in reducing the fear of crime as well as creating a safer and more welcoming environment. External lighting should be appropriate to create a safe environment and assist in enhancing the quality of the CCTV system. 5. A notice shall be displayed at the entrance to the premises where it can be clearly seen and read, and shall indicate that it is unlawful for persons under 18 to purchase alcohol or for any person to purchase alcohol on behalf of a person under 18 years of age. 6. Premises to operate the ‘Challenge 21’ scheme requiring proof of age identification from anyone who appears to be under the age of 21 with appropriate signage to be in place at the premises. 7. In line with the premises licence holders alcohol and social responsibility policy, there will be no promotions that encourage illegal, irresponsible or immoderate consumption. 8. Every incident of crime or disorder relating to the premises will be reported that day to South Yorkshire Police. 9. In order to reduce the opportunity for alcohol fuelled disorder to take place, and to ensure that the supply of alcohol does not have a negative impact on the local community. The business must be a signed up member of the Sheffield City Council Responsible Retailers Scheme. 10. The Designated Premises Supervisor for these premises must be a registered member of the Sheffield Licence Watch. Annual membership and meeting attendance should be maintained. 11. To assist in the prevention of crime and disorder in the vicinity of these premises staff should actively engage in the removal and dispersal of customers who congregate outside the shop. 12. The premises shall liaise with the local Community Police Officer and any local school that concerns regarding any of its pupils. Conditions agreed with Heath Protection Service 13. A satisfactory electrical certificate shall be provided for the premises. 14. Shelving and display units for the purposes of displaying alcohol must be of suitable design, construction and adequately secured. 15. The new premises licence shall not become effective until the Health Protection Service have inspected the premises with regard to the electrical certificate, shelving and any other matter raised during the consultation period, to ensure that these items have been appropriately addressed in respect of service requirements.
