Additional Conditions

1. There shall be no adult entertainment or services, activities, other entertainment or matters ancillary to the use of the premises save for the use of authorised AWP machines. 2. Amplified sound or live music shall only be played within the building in such a way that noise breakout to the street does not exceed: (i) background noise levels by more that 3dBA when measured as a 15 LAeq (ii) any octave band centre frequency by more that 3 dB when measured as a 15 minute Leq 3. Clear and legible notices shall be displayed at all exits requesting the public respect the needs of local residents and to leave the premises and area quietly. 4. Signs shall be placed outside the venue and in any smoking area, reminding patrons that they are close to residential accommodation and should be quiet while using the facilities. 5. All doors and windows shall be closed, except for access and egress, when regulated entertainment is present in the premises. 6. The Designated Premises Supervisor or designated member of staff must take a pro-active approach to noise control, checking outside the premises to ensure that noise is kept to a reasonable level from patrons using external areas and manage noise levels internally to prevent causing a nuisance to the nearest noise sensitive property. 7. The applicant or any person purchasing these premises must liaise with and fully comply with the reasonable requirements of the responsible authority towards public safety in the fit out/building of the premises. 8. No licensable activities will take place under the authority of this licence until the Authority has been notified that the premises are suitable. Any reasonable requirements of the public safety authority will be complied with in order to ensure that the premises are suitable for their intended use. The licensee will give the responsible authorities a minimum of 14 days notice of the intended opening date of the premises. 9. The premises shall have an occupancy figure of 275 persons or a capacity figure as approved by the responsible authority towards public safety and South Yorkshire Fire Service in writing. 10. The provision for disabled access and egress to and within the premises, including unisex sanitary convenience will be provided by 31 January 2010. 11. A Building Regulation Completion Certificate shall be submitted to the public safety and licensing authorities before the premises is used for any licensable activities. 12. A recognised proof of age scheme will be operated, including a system for recording refusals and signage to highlight the scheme. 13. Staff will be trained to operate the proof of age scheme and to understand the law about alcohol and persons under the age of 18. Staff training records will be maintained and made available to the authorities for inspection on request. 14. From Sunday to Thursday persons under the age of 18 are not permitted after 21:00 hours unless they are accompanied by a responsible adult and dining. 15. On Fridays and Saturdays persons under the age of 18 are not permitted after 20:00 hours unless they are accompanied by a responsible adult and dining in a designated family dining area. 16. CCTV will be provided and maintained throughout the premises, the positioning of such cameras will be in liaison with the police licensing officer and crime prevention department and in conjunction with the minimum specification of the South Yorkshire Police. 17. The Designated Premises Supervisor or other suitable person shall be a registered member of Sheffield Licence Watch. Annual membership and meeting attendance shall be maintained 18. No customers apparently carrying open bottles upon entry shall be admitted to the premises at any times the premises are open to the public. The premises shall operate a policy preventing customers from removing alcoholic and other drinks from the premises in open containers 19. Any drinks promotions shall not be inconsistent with the need to promote responsible drinking 20. A copy of the SYP Violent Incident protocol to be displayed within the premises in sight of staff. This protocol should also form part of staff training and training records to reflect such input. 21. Polycarbonate drinking vessels to be used at the venue on a management risk assessed basis and through negotiation upon police advice. This is most likely to mean for example, use of polycarbonates perhaps at busy weekend times or periods, or when risk assessed by management due to the customers profile or likely demeanour.
